1stAct Silicon Valley is a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness for San Jose and Silicon Valley's vibrant arts community. Faced with building a sophisticated web application, 1stAct asked us to help with a technology and platform evaluation. We met with numerous technology vendors and outsourcing firms to help 1stAct determine the best and most efficient development strategy that would meet their needs and budget.
Artsopolis.com is the leading online resource for Arts and Cultural information for the Silicon Valley region. Through a partnership with 1stAct Silicon Valley, we helped develop a strategy, business plan, and product roadmap to increase revenue and scale their organization to support a growing licensing business.
EMI Music is one of the world's leading music companies, home to some of the most successful and best known recording artists. We helped EMI with the early stages of designing and building a number of new web properties with the goal of strengthening the connection between fans and their favorite EMI artists.
The LikeMe Network is a personalized recommendation engine that helps you discover restaurants, nightlife, travel, shopping, and an array of fun activities and helpful services that are personally suited to you. The LikeMe algorithm makes recommendations by matching your preferences with people who share your lifestyle and attitudes. We helped LikeMe with product definition, product management, and agile coaching.
LikeMe Mobile will help you find great places to eat, drink, and meet people wherever you happen to be with your Palm Pre. We worked with LikeMe to conceptualize the mobile app, define the feature set, and manage the design and development process. Thanks to Palm's sophisticated new WebOS, development was a snap and we were able to deliver the app in a very short period of time. We worked with our partners Pivotal Labs for software development and UE Architects for design. And of course, we worked closely with the good folks at Palm.
Oortle is working on a number of technologies to help fuel the future of the real-time web. We worked with Oortle on product planning, development strategy and prioritization, and communication materials for press, customers, and investors. We also introduced them to using Pivotal Tracker as a communication and management tool for their extended engineering team.
Planet Metrics' Rapid Carbon Modeling approach and visualization tools help organizations assess and manage carbon emissions. They synthesize complex scientific data and processes into easy-to-use reports and dashboards which support sustainability strategies. We helped Planet Metrics with Product Marketing leading up to their launch in November, including a completely new corporate website utilizing their new branding and positioning. We also provided agile coaching as their new product management and development teams came on board. Planet Metrics has since been acquired by PTC.
quantiFind is a stealth startup. We helped quantiFind with early-stage business planning, specifically Market Landscape and Competitive Analysis. We also aided in the search that resulted in them hiring their first full-time software engineer.
Your Garden Show is a place for avid gardeners to find inspiration, grow their gardening knowledge, and share their gardens with others. Working in partnership with Hot Studio and Pivotal Labs, we helped the founders go from pure concept to working beta in less than four months. We provided product strategy advice to the co-founders, managed two disparate engineering teams, and helped formulate the long-term product plan.
